What the marketplace is, in one paragraph
The health insurance marketplace is a government-run website where individuals and families who do not get coverage through an employer can compare and buy plans, and where eligibility for financial assistance is determined based on the household income you report. Arizona uses the federal marketplace rather than running a state-based one of its own.
That is genuinely useful infrastructure, and for a lot of households it is the right route. It is also, importantly, one route rather than the whole landscape.
